We were desperately searching for a moving company that afternoon, desperately looking for a place to move from Valencia to Madrid the next morning. The circumstances were incredibly difficult. The best we could find were private individuals with vans, offering no guarantees. Then we found them. Their service was outstanding. They arrived at our house before we did and waited for us to load everything. Thank you!
La Seda Moving Company carried out a challenging move today: a 7-foot pool table. They transported it from Villarrobledo to Santiago de la Ribera, and the result was excellent. Edison, Raúl, and Stanly were impeccable, and the company's telephone support was very attentive throughout the entire process. Communication via WhatsApp was smooth and helpful. I highly recommend them. Suggestion: For moves like this, such as a pool table, a trolley (like those used for grand pianos) is essential. I think it will make things much easier for them next time. The pool table arrived in perfect condition, wrapped in blankets and cellophane. We will definitely use them again.
I called a few businesses to move from Murcia to Madrid, all quotes were over €2500 except for LASEDA, their total including iva was €1800, they arrived an hour late, but they told Me that they were sending 5 people to compensate the time lost, they loaded all my things into 2 trucks within 1 1/2 hours, the next day at 11:am they arrived and my new place in Madrid, unloaded the trucks, everything was in the same condition as before, nothing broke. I am really happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone else.
We hired La Seda for a move from Germany to Spain. Initially, the service was good; they responded quickly and helped us estimate the size of the move. We accepted the quote and paid. The problem started on moving day: they only sent two movers for the entire house. Instead of taking about 8 hours, it ended up taking 12, and both my husband and I had to help load the belongings so they could finish (a service we had booked because I'm 7 months pregnant). Furthermore, they miscalculated the dimensions, and a third of the items didn't fit in the truck, forcing us to hire and pay for an additional service. Upon arriving in Spain, the situation repeated itself: again, only two movers, one truck that had to make two trips, and they didn't finish unloading or assembling the furniture in a single day (a service we had booked). A truly awful experience. The worst part is that we requested compensation for the loss of several items (a Sage Barista Express coffee machine, a Thermomix, a Black & Decker, plus two broken vases). We provided receipts and photos from the moving day as evidence, and they aren't responding. We also didn't report minor damage to furniture, but even so, the company isn't taking responsibility for the most important things. Given the lack of response, we will be filing a complaint with the consumer protection agency (OCU) because this company isn't taking any responsibility. I hope this review helps prevent others from making the same mistake. The service and, above all, the lack of responsibility from this company are appalling. ——— I'm publishing this review as a follow-up to the previous one to inform you of the outcome of the post-service claim. After several weeks of negotiations and after providing receipts and photographs that prove material damages exceeding €1,500, the company has informed us that the compensation offered amounts to €200. This outcome, in our opinion, reflects inadequate handling of the incident, as the damage and loss of an item (a coffee maker valued at over €450) occurred during the service, and the proposed compensation is disproportionate to the value of the affected belongings. We have filed complaints with the OCU (Spanish Consumer Organization), but have not received a response to date, which reinforces our perception of a lack of follow-up and responsiveness from the company regarding a significant incident. Throughout the claims process, communication was slow, and no additional alternatives were offered, leading to a perception of insufficient customer support after the service was completed. If, as the company states in its public response, there is a genuine willingness to address the issue, we expect them to contact us and offer a suitable solution. In that case, we will update this review with any developments. We are sharing this information so that other users have all the necessary information before hiring a service, especially when it comes to moving and personal belongings. Our experience, in addition to what has already been stated in the previous review, has been unsatisfactory and did not meet our expectations in terms of professionalism and subsequent incident management.
I moved about a month ago. The day before the planned move, and part of the payment had been made, they called to change the date without giving any alternative, so I just had to "accept it." The guys who packed the belongings, without any complaints, although a few days later I realized that one of my young son's pieces of furniture must have broken and they tried to "fix it improperly." The worst part is that they didn't even warn me, and the piece of furniture wasn't stable, making it dangerous for my son. I mentioned this more than two weeks ago to the company's contact, and I'm still waiting for a response. I wouldn't do it again. The photos show what the furniture looked like and how they left it.
